     Visual Chart 4 New Features

High Technology and Innovation

Visual Chart Group innovates again releasing Visual Chart 4. We have included significant improvements you will find useful when managing your investment and we have increased the performance of the software.

All you need to win money on the market in a single platform

1. Optimized Systems

The systems' performance has improved, optimizing the calculus speed in about 40 % and increasing the effectivness in 25 %. The parameters' optimization and the use of different systems at the same time is now working faster and better.

2. Volume Distribution

This new tool gives you the possibility to see what prices are more active within a certain period of time.

To see more about this new feature please go to the Visual Chart help file.

3. Generic Quotes' lists

Using the generic quotes' lists you can see the complete information related to a group of selected quotes. You can visualize all this information in the same window and for the same quote:

Tick Chart Ticker
Depth of Market Quotation data (last , %, volume, high and low) .

When you are displaying the information in a generic quotes' list, you can choose the type of information you want to visualize. On the screenshot on the right side, on the left lower part you can mark the checkbox specifying the information you need.

On this image Limits (depth of market) and Fields (quotation's data) checkboxes are marked.

The following information is displayed on the generic quotes' list:

On the following screenshot only a tick chart is selected:

In the last example, you can see a quotes' list with different futures markets products' quotations. Each one has 4 cells representing this future's different type of information.

The symbol and the type of information can be modified even if the quotes' list is already open. To do so you only have to go to a bar you will find on the upper part of this quotes' list and select one of the two options:

In the menu you will find on the left side you can select the type of information you want to display on the selected cell (tick chart, quotation etc.). See the example below.

In the menu you will find on the right side indicate the symbol.

To see more about this feature please go to Visual Chart help file.

4. Quotes' Volume Distribution

This new Visual Chart feature gives you the possibility to visualize the volume of a group of quotes using a graphic representation. The size of the boxes is drawn in proportion to the volume. In this way, taking a single look at the size of the boxes you can see what symbols' volume is more effective.

See the example below.

You can differentiate the colors and the intensity. The green boxes are referred to the quotes with a positive evolution and the red boxes to those with a negative difference. The higher is the difference, the higher is the color intensity.

5. Tick Charts: Extended Linear and Limit Chart (only in Visual Chart)

A tick chart represents the closed trades. The bars compression of these charts is based on trades, not on period of time.

Fig 1. 1 tick linear chart
Fig 2. 10 ticks bars chart
Fig 3. 45 ticks candlestick chart

In Visual Chart 4 there are 2 new tick representations which will help you to follow the evolution of the quotations based on closed trades.

Extended Linear:

It's an extension of a linear chart, showing the buy and sale limits of each quotation's trade. Please note that the single trades will be displayed only if it's a 1 tick chart (if it is 5 ticks chart, you will be seeing 5 trades in a bar). In any other case, the representation will be exactly the same as linear.

Limit Chart
Only in Visual Chart

In this chart representation the buy and sale limits are displayed as a box.

If the tick's sale price is the same as close, the tick is bullish. In any other case it's bearish. The upper position of the tick's body is the sale price and the lower, the buy price.

By default the ticks are surrounded by a border painted in a color similar to the background (the colors are customizable).

The body's color depends on the tick's volume. The higer is the volume, the stronger is the body's color. The ticks with a significantly higher volume are marked with a vertical line (volume indicator).   On the picture below you can see the different colors of the ticks' bodies . The colors nearly black represent the ticks with the significantly higher volume and the ticks with low volume have nearly the same color as the background.

There are also two vertical lines indicating the tick's volume (nº of contracts or shares) for the buy and sale trades. As this information doesn't depend on the scale, you cannot change the size of these lines when the scale changes.

The line represents x contracts/shares per minimum movement distance. In this way, when the scale is increased, the distance between the two consecutive quotations is also increased as well the line representing the volume.

6. Orders trigger from a depth of market window

This new tool maximizes the speed when sending orders from bid&ask and depth of market windows.

Click on icon on a depth of market window to enable the Orders' trigger.

Once enabled, it works in the following way:

Left click any cell to send an order with the volume you have indicated when you have enabled the Armed.

If you click another cell, the order activated previously will be modified.

If you click again the same cell the order will be cancelled.

If you activate Accumulate option, every click will be a new market order, sending always new orders and accumulating the number of open positions.

7. Open Positions on the chart

This new graphic object displays the open position on the chart. This window shows the quantity and the price on a green background (customizable). If there is more than a symbol or account, this information will also appear on the chart.

The + o – symbol indicates if it's a buy or sale.

The open positions are displayed on depth of market windows, charts and order manager.

If you want to close a position, there are different ways to do it:

If you do it from the chart's window, you can right click the open position, go to Orders menu and select Close open position.

If you do it from depth of market window, you only have to right click the open position and select Trading menu.

If you do it from orders manager window, you only have to right click the position you want to close and select close position.

8. New way to manage de Symbols

Clicking the button Delete on the symbols' selection dialogue box you can delete all the symbols previously selected.

Clicking the button Setup you can adapt the symbols and exchanges configuration.
